Climate in Cyprus
Cyprus has a Mediterranean climate with long, warm summers and relatively short, mild winters. From April to October, rainfall is almost negligible. Nearly all precipitation occurs between December and March, although even then, the amounts are modest compared to Belgium. In spring, temperatures begin to rise quickly. March and April often already see many sunny days with temperatures well above 20°C. In May, temperatures frequently reach 30°C, and June, July, and August are very hot, with regular peaks reaching or even exceeding 40°C. Autumn is the most pleasant season in terms of temperature. September and October are warm, but not as hot as the summer months. Additionally, the sea water has warmed up to very comfortable temperatures, making it ideal for beach and sea lovers.
