Special Travel Conditions

 

1. Price

a. Except in the case of an obvious clerical error, the price stated on the order form is binding. This price may be revised if provided for in the contractual terms of the tour operator or, where applicable, the supplier of any separate service enabling travel or accommodation, and only to the extent permitted by law.

b. Prices communicated by telephone are always indicative and non-binding. Only the price stated on your confirmation document is valid.

 

2. Payment Terms

1. The private traveler agrees to pay a deposit of 35% of the total travel cost upon registration.
2. The balance must be paid 30 days prior to the departure date. If only transportation is booked, the full amount is due upon registration. In the event of full or partial non-payment of the travel sum or cancellation fees by the agreed deadline, the traveler shall automatically and without notice of default owe Golf Direct NV a late payment interest of 12% per annum, calculated from the due date until full payment, plus a lump-sum compensation of 10% of the outstanding amount, with a minimum of €75, as compensation for additional costs and efforts required to obtain payment. Late or incomplete payment entitles Golf Direct NV to cancel the trip and charge the resulting cancellation costs, in accordance with the terms of the tour operator or, where applicable, the supplier of any separate service.

 

3. Travel Documents

Travel documents will be made available at the travel agency no later than 7 days prior to departure. In the case of a change made within 14 days before departure, documents may be provided at the point of departure.

 

4. Changes by the Traveler

a. Departure and return dates are fixed upon registration. Changes to the return date on-site are no longer possible.

b. Early termination of the trip does not entitle the traveler to a refund for unused services. Any extra costs (airfare and transfers) will be borne by the traveler.

c. Reserved and confirmed flights are non-changeable and non-refundable.

d. In line with Article 5.D of the general travel conditions, the following fees apply even in cases of force majeure:
– Up to 30 days before departure: €25 per person
– From 30 to 7 days before departure: €50 per person
– Less than 7 days before departure: €100 per person

e. As per Article 4.B of the general conditions, a fee of €25 will be charged in case of transfer of the booking.

f. Cancellation fees are as follows:
– Up to 30 days before departure: 50% of the travel sum
– From 30 to 15 days before departure: 75% of the travel sum
– Less than 15 days before departure: 100% of the travel sum

 

5. Passport, Visa, Vaccinations, Customs, and Other Formalities

The traveler is responsible for obtaining information from the appropriate authorities regarding the documents and formalities required for travel. Minors must carry their own ID with a photo (under 12) or an identity card (over 12); where a passport is required, minors must have their own passport. A traveler who is unable to take part in the trip, wholly or partially, due to missing documents or failure to comply with laws or regulations, bears all resulting costs and responsibilities.

 

6. Travel and Cancellation Insurance

The traveler acknowledges that travel and cancellation insurance has been explicitly offered. Failure to purchase insurance may have serious consequences.
Golf Direct NV disclaims all responsibility for consequences (financial or material) resulting from not purchasing insurance.

 

7. Obligations of the Traveler

a. The traveler must present themselves at least 2 hours before departure for check-in. Failure to comply voids any claim for compensation, regardless of the reason for the delay.

b. At the time of booking, the traveler must report any element (e.g., nationality, health status) that may affect the proper execution of the trip. Any costs arising from failure to comply with this obligation are the responsibility of the traveler. Any direct or indirect damage suffered by Golf Direct NV will be recovered from the traveler.

 

8. Liability

a. Provided all legal requirements are met, Golf Direct NV cannot be held liable for unforeseen events such as accidents, strikes, epidemics, wars, etc. Any additional transport or accommodation costs arising from such events are the responsibility of the traveler.

b. Golf Direct NV is not liable for the execution of sports activities, excursions, or tourist events not included in the travel contract.

 

9. Insurance Intermediary

Golf Direct NV is a member of the VVR (Association of Flemish Travel Agencies) under license number A 6261.

 

10. Disputes

Only Belgian law applies. In the event of a dispute, only the courts of the judicial district of Antwerp have jurisdiction. If the tour operator or, where applicable, the provider of any separate travel service recognizes the Disputes Committee for Travel vzw's general terms, Golf Direct NV will also comply.
