La Cala Golf Resort, a 4-star resort with fantastic golf facilities, is located near Mijas on the Costa del Sol, just a 25-minute drive from Málaga Airport. Everything here is designed to cater to the needs of golfers.
The resort features a golf academy, practice holes, putting and chipping greens, and three 18-hole golf courses — the Europa, the Asia, and the America Golf Course — where you can truly indulge your passion for golf. This resort is also highly suitable for golf professionals to visit with their students.
Location
35 km from Málaga Airport and 20 km from Marbella. La Cala is situated in the inland region of the Sierra de Mijas, surrounded by hills and its own three beautiful 18-hole courses. The hotel is just a 5-minute drive from the beach.
Rooms
The resort (3 floors) offers a total of 107 tastefully decorated rooms. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, telephone, safe, minibar, hairdryer, cable TV, and a bathroom with underfloor heating, bath, shower, and toilet. Most rooms offer views of the golf course or the mountains.
Facilities
La Cala features an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, 2 tennis courts, a library, a beautiful lounge, and 3 restaurants: La Terraza (international cuisine), La Bodega (tapas), and Laurel in the clubhouse, along with a piano bar. The clubhouse (50 meters from the hotel) includes squash courts, a fitness center, a pro shop, the Laurel restaurant with a cozy bar and terrace. In mid-February 2005, the Wellness Spa opened, offering numerous relaxation options such as massages, sauna, steam bath, and whirlpool.
Golf
Three stunning championship courses, each with its own unique character. The newest course, La Cala Europa, is especially beautiful and well-designed. La Cala America and La Cala Asia were designed by the renowned architect Cabell Robinson. In addition to these three fantastic courses, there is a full Golf Academy with extensive practice facilities including a putting green, driving range, and chipping area.
It is also possible to visit other golf courses in the area, which we can arrange for you upon request.

Golf Direct Tours is a member of the professional association of Flemish travel agencies VVR, license number A6261, with financial protection through the Flemish Travel Guarantee Fund. This is extremely important for you, as it ensures that you run no financial risk thanks to this guarantee fund.
Quality control
We assure you that we have personally visited all the locations mentioned in our brochures and on our website to carry out our own quality checks. We regularly travel to inspect hotels and golf courses on key points. We want to ensure that the only thing beyond your control is the weather. Our Quality Control is, therefore, a vital part of our organization.
Cancellation Insurance
When making your reservation, we will ask whether you would like to take out cancellation insurance. We strongly advise doing so immediately. If, for any unforeseen reason, you are unable to travel, the insurance will in many cases cover the travel sum (or a portion of it) minus the premium. The cost is 6.5% of the total travel sum. Our cancellation insurance is provided through Allianz Mondial Assistance. A copy of the policy terms is available upon request.
Golf Bag Transport
Transport of your golf bag is always included in our packages. However, if preferred, it is also possible to rent a golf set at many destinations for the desired period. Please contact us to inquire about the options.
Costs
To keep our trips as attractive as possible, we charge only €35.00 in administration fees per invoice. Change fees apply from six weeks before departure. These vary on a case-by-case basis. We aim to keep these costs as low as possible.
Car Rental
In most packages, a rental car is included in the travel price. A minimum age of 25 years and a credit card are required to rent a car. The car is provided as standard in category BB. You can upgrade to a higher category vehicle for an additional fee. The car rental includes CDW / TP / UM with deductible, but excludes fuel, airport taxes, and possible drop-off charges. A credit card is required as a deposit when collecting the car.
